I know that taking photography underwater is definitely a challenge, it takes a lot of work and a lot of patience. I do enjoy this kind of shot, it takes a lot of work and patience to pull off.

As far as this shot goes, technically speaking, all the little pink (bubbles?) are very distracting and take away from the picture. I know it might be very hard to not have them in the shot, but when they are that close to the lense it is very distracting.

Now artistically speaking, this kind of shot is a very popular theme, so in order to make it really memorable, try experimenting, do something different or special to make this really memorable, perhaps a more dynamic pose, or use props.

Overall the picture is defiantly not bad and I do like it, but I think you could make this even better.

The first thing that draws my attention on this wonderful shot is the framing: Indeed, there is (at least seemingly) a lot of water around the model, and this gives me an impression of infinity, like if she was three dimensional space. But filled with water and with a vertical surface, like in another universe.

Then, and kinda tied to the first: The pose... Hands perfectly put on the surface like "touching it like a reflecting wall" and btw the reflection has an abstract aspect that adds to the fantastic look of the whole shot. Moreover there is something that I find really great in it's composition. It's when I look to the model's bent legs, and particularly the part which begins from the knees and ends at the feet, they are almost parallel with the direction that the hair follow.

The coloring: I simply love it... The water/skin/bikini/hair combination and the reflection of all this, with shadows and lights is really awesome, and is shining example of what can be made with water and sunlight, that btw is an awesome part of underwater photography in my opinion.

To conclude: this shot is really good and I consider it like one of the bests that can be done with a non professional very costly camera equipped with powerful strobes... But well I don't want to be a boring techie and just enjoy the natural beauty that I find here.

underwater, bubbles tend to look pink because of the white balance on a lot of cameras. but i think i've removed them fro the photo :)

Awesome capture. :D

When I look at this piece, I can't really see anything 'wrong' as such with the overall execution.

The lighting is brilliant in making the water reflect/refract and such. I like the patterns created from it from the water, as well as the fact it reflects onto the person as well, if that makes sense.

I think that the framing could have been better. I'm not sure whether portrait was the best move. As you've captured her reflection as well, I will say that I think a landscape would have been better, but that's just me.

The concept is interesting, although not exactly original, as such.

Overall, though, it's executed well.

thank you so much for the kind words. you should consider doing critiques of peoples works.

and by the way, my camera was so cheap. only $199 for an underwater digital camera :D

Wow very much welcome! ^_^

In fact I don't really think being ready to write critiques... But I wonder cos if you say that I should consider doing some, perhaps I'm wrong... (just see my note please).

And $199.00 is a really cool price for a digital waterproof cam! ;)

i can't remember what it looked like with the distracting pink bubbles so it would be good to see both versions side by side. overall not a bad pic - the blue of the water is gorgeous as are the ripples of light.

A very cool shot, pretty creative use of your natural elements. This type of reflection picture has been done a lot recently, though, and I feel it would have been a lot more effective without the tiles in the background, and maybe a light source from the bottom.
